My first ever "real" concert was Nine Inch Nails at the Palace of Auburn Hills in 2000. The opening act was A Perfect Circle. I was only 16 and had never in my life seen such a cross section of strangely dressed folk. Seeing a grown man wearing nothing but a full-body fishnet suit and Doc Martens was a defining moment of my teenage years.
The band's output lately has been top-notch. Ghosts I-IV and The Slip are fantastic albums. Their embrace of the Internet is a model for other bands. This video (on Vimeo to boot!) from the band reminds me of all the reasons why I loved that concert 9 years ago. Be sure to click through and view in HD and fullscreen.
